It was fun to get to see the bees in the new hive at the farm where I have a CSA share for this year.
They were as busy as a … well, they were pretty busy.
The farm purchased about a pound of them from Louisiana, and they are doing very well in their new hive.
I also picked up my second batch of fresh produce from the farm.
I’ll be serving a lot of fresh veggies this week.
Update: I made a delicious Meatless Monday salad with all seasonal vegetables from the farm — lettuce, Hakurei turnips, radishes, snap peas, and carrots.

I’d like dinner reservations at your home please!

I have to figure out what to do with everything. That’s half the fun though.
That produce looks amazing – would love to be involved with something like that. Save me some salad .xx

Oh no, no, no no & NO! I don’t do bugs or insects of ANY kind. Eeek my skin is crawling now. LOL! But the produce looks amazing!!!!

But Shannon, they were kind of cute.
I love the beehive! Wow — I’m almost jealous, because I love the idea of handling one but I’m not sure I’d have the guts to actually do it. Kudos to you. Very cool.

Thanks, but I didn’t actually handle them. That’s a beekeeper. I did get close enough for the close-ups, though, which was plenty close for me.
