Timid No More: How I Broke Out of My Comfort Zone by Doing 101 Things and How You Can Break Out of Yours

In the ebook Timid No More, I share my favorite adventures from my quest to complete 101 things in 1001 days, a quest that made me less timid and squeamish. I share serious tasks (stop complaining) and silly tasks (ride a mechanical bull), intimidating tasks (travel alone) and nostalgic tasks (listen to old records). I also give ideas for readers to create their own set of challenges so that they can reinvent themselves too.

Stuck in a rut? It’s time to expand your comfort zone.

Order the ebook at Amazon.com for $0.99. (Note: When the second edition goes live, the price will be $1.99.)

On Timid No More:

“Light’s an excellent writer. She’s descriptive, witty, and to-the-point. Her text is punctuated with photographs and links to interesting websites (an advantage of the e-book format). Timid No More is a quick and entertaining read, and it’ll inspire you to create and tackle your own list of interesting challenges.”

Patricia Ellis Herr, author of Up: A Mother and Daughter’s Peakbagging Adventure (Read the review)

Timid No More is published on Amazon for the Kindle; if you don’t have a Kindle you can still read it using free Kindle reading apps.

P.S. If you read it, please consider writing a review on Amazon.

Exited congratulations to you Marcy for breaking out of your comfort zone and publishing a book! I am so honored to know a published author and am totally inspired, especially by the wonderful video I saw on YouTube about drawing your life. What a great idea and very well done! By the way, I just bought your ebook on Amazon.

  2. Marcy, I just downloaded the Kindle app for my iPad mini, and the first book I bought was Timid No More. I have just started to read it and I am blown away by the concept, the design, and the fantastic writing. You’re a very talented and inspirational role model for others — thank you for sharing and publishing your experiences. When I’m finished your work in it’s entirety, I’ll post a review on Amazon. I’d also like to profile it on my main blog, http://www.trishalexsage.com, if that’s okay with you.

    • That “it’s” should be “its.” Sorry, I should never try to write anything before I’ve had my morning coffee…

I know what you mean about the coffee. :) By the way, I just discovered a soul-crushing typo in my ebook. Of course I know that Penelope is not Demeter’s daughter! (I have taught The Odyssey and Greek mythology for 20 years.) I must have proofread the piece that had the typo/factual error at least 10 times between my blog piece and the ebook piece. Ugh. I will fix it for future readers and posterity.

Trish, thank you so much. I am inspired by your writing and by the way you are raising your daughters. I loved your book Up, and I hope you have a book planned about your amazing Camino adventure through Spain. I would be honored to have you mention my ebook on your site.

  4. Congrats fellow author, love your book trailer! I just added your book to my kindle and will post a review soon. We have a similar message for women. My book is Success Secrets of a Million Dollar Party Girl. See you in the kindle store. Happy SITS day!
