A Month in the Life: 300 Photos in 2 Minutes

(Video link)

My sons are on the brink of manhood, which makes the mundane bits and pieces of our lives – an egg sandwich prepared for Father’s Day, an Impressionist painting for a school project, a new account for a very first paycheck — all the more poignant.

Seeing these rapid-fire photos of June all mixed together reminds me of the wisdom of the great Ferris Bueller, who said:

“Life moves pretty fast. You don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

As you’ll see in my two-minute video, June was heavy on tennis and social gatherings, which is exactly how June should be.

#10 Document one month of my life

It was fun documenting my daily life for a month, but I will be glad not to feel compelled to pull out my phone and say things like, “Let me take a picture of you with your library book” or “Take a picture of me holding the potato salad.” My kids will be glad too.

Oh, the joy of trying to take a picture of a teenage boy

I hadn’t thought about that, but you’re right of course. When I see videos from when my boys were really little, they’re so sweet it nearly hurts.
