Hiking on a remote Irish island, a guest post

Skellig Michael in the fog

Skellig Michael, Ireland

Please head over to the blog Trish, Alex and Sage today where I have a guest post:

Out to Sea: Visiting an Ancient Monastery

The post is about hiking with my family to an ancient monastery on a remote Irish island called Skellig Michael.

Patricia Ellis Herr is a fascinating woman and a great writer. Her book, Up: A Mother and Daughter’s Peakbagging Adventure, describes her daughter Alex’s quest to summit all of New Hampshire’s 48 four-thousand footers, and she and her two young daughters recently walked over 500 miles on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, raising over $10,000 to support women around the world.

Please visit Trish’s blog to read the story of my adventure and see more photos: Out to Sea: Visiting an Ancient Monastery.

Looks awesome – have you heard the song Skellig by Loreena McKennitt? Give it a listen, if you haven’t.
