Go climb a tree

UPDATE: I declared this didn’t count, and redid it–Climb a tree, take three: I’ll take it

Marcy in a tree

#12 (101 things in 1001 days): Climb to the top of a tree and take a picture of the view.

I’ll call myself out on this one. In no way did I climb to the top of a tree, but I did in fact climb a bit of a tree.

I’ve written recently about my fear of heights and ladders, and I didn’t want to risk breaking my leg or worse by falling out of a tree in my very own backyard, or anywhere really, but I was in my very own backyard.

The task from my list said, “Climb to the top of a tree and take a picture of the view,” but when you think about it, that’s not even possible, right? No one could climb to the top because the small branches up there wouldn’t support the person.

That burst of logic gave me the opening I needed to slightly revise the item to “Climb a tree and take a picture of the view.”

I know you can barely see my husband from my lofty perch, but here’s the picture of my view.

It’s true. People really do look like ants from up there.

This blog is always so inspiring! I’m a serious acrophobe. Baby steps, I get it. Although that trapeze school – YIKES!
